  1. Allow us to specify S3 IAM Access Credentials as part of api requests

Right now, we have to grant read and write permissions on our buckets to your AWS Account. If someone were to compromise your AWS account credentials, they'd be able to access secure data stored in our buckets (very bad).

As an alternative, allow us to specify the AWS IAM Security Credentials that we want you to use to access our buckets as part of each API request. Since these would be passed to you as part of each request, there would be no need to store them on your servers so there would be very little risk of compromise. And…

  2. add a function that deletes a file from an s3 bucket

I can do everything else I need to right now with Blitline (I upload directly to s3, then Blitline processes and generates new images and puts them back in s3) via your JavaScript SDK. If you could add the ability to delete a file from my s3 bucket, then I'd have all the functionality I need!

  3. Use Maven for your Java library

I appreciate your providing a Java client library, but it's not integrated with the standard Java build systems (Maven/Gradle/Ivy) and requires a good bit of manual copying to include in a Java project. Using Maven or Gradle is very simple, and making the library available through Central would enable customers to add Blitline to their programs by simply adding a dependency declaration to their build files.

  4. S3 bucket policy Action missing for downloading from private S3 bucket

    Hi,
I was following the docs in the http://blitline.com/docs/s3_permissions page but It wasn't working for me.

I had to add an "s3:GetObject" Action to my S3 Bucket Policy in order to allow blitline to get images from my private S3 bucket.

This applies only when you have private data in your S3 bucket and you want blitline to be able to download it.

Just wanted to let you know just in case you want to add it to your docs. It took me some time to figure out...

    Cheers

  5. Minor typo in text

I think the text in the bottom right of your homepage should be "people viewing youR images." (currently the "R" is missing).

    Great service anyway!

  6. Update the api docs

The docs for the job response show job ID as part of each image result. This does not match the actual response, which has the job id after the images array.

  7. Support username signin, or allow multiple users to access one account

"Blitline knows you don‘t need to keep track of another username and password, so we let you log in with existing account you probably already have.

We ONLY support signing in with one of the services above. We do not maintain any Blitline specific registration system."

I need to share the Blitline account with another developer, which means I have to give up my github account to him, which is not cool.

Please add a regular username signin (old-school), or high-tech way would be ability to share a Blitline account with multiple users.

Previous response from Blitline ticket :
